It's absurd to expect me to pay for diagnostic, and replacement of some possible problem parts, when all I'm asking for is to let some freaking freon (or whatever it's called now) out. So c'mon Chevy.do the right thing, and eat the cost to correct an issue to some defect in the Trax A/C system.
I'd do it myself, and if I did and messed something up, I would be ok with being billed. What shows Chevy really cares, is when you take it to the dealer to have them correct the manufacturer issue, and let some A/C coolant out of the system, they don't see why I disagree with being billed for the "fix". I've discovered there's a Service Bulletin issued that informs mechanics to not fill the A/C coolant all the way, as it creates this diminished A/C result. About 90 days a year are disgustingly warm, and when you go somewhere 20-30 mins away, in your well-maintained vehicle, you don't expect to arrive sweating, since the A/C has been on speed 2-3 the entire time. Now my car is back at Chevrolet and they said that the blend door actuator is broken and I have to pay for that to be fixed because its not covered under warranty so there's $200 that I have to pay out of pocket. This went on back and forth back and forth back and forth eight times.įinally got my car back, now the heater doesn't work. Two weeks later I get it back and then two days later I brought it back, it still doesn't work right. Two days later I brought it back because the AC was not working again. 6 compressors for condensers, an evaporator and 52 days later, I finally got my car back. Turns out the shaft inside the compressor broke sending metal fragments throughout the entire system. 52 days later I finally got my car back, the first time. I bought it from Ford as a used car they were unable to fix it so they sublet it out to Chevrolet. On June 22nd, I took my Equinox to the dealer to get it fixed. And since they didn't show me the diagnostic report, I have no way of proving it. I will likely never purchase another Chevy and I will never deal with Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Short Pump, VA again!!! My anger is in part with them b/c I feel as though the condenser was probably the issue 2 months ago and not the compressor that i wasted money on. I have seen multiple a/c complaints on various websites with this make and model vehicle, but Chevrolet won't own up make a recall. A 2011 vehicle isn't that old for there to be this many a/c issues. You can't convince me that something isn't faulty with the a/c unit in my car.
